I've listened to some podcasts with Bruce Bueno de Mesquita, author of The Logic of Political Survival, and one of his most convincing arguments is that once the dictator gets sick enough, all of the competing factions get very antsy and this is when coups, revolutions, etc. most often happen.
So, we may see some exciting changes in North Korea.
On a personal note, I would not be happy to see any changes until I get to make a visit to this Stalinist Disneyland that time forgot, but that chance is receding so I guess freedom for a few million people would be a decent consolation prize.
